On Wednesday, February 29th, we hosted our monthly networking event at Tantra on South Beach. Many of InSense Miami’s followers and friends celebrated the special day, Leap Day, with a special night of networking and building contacts for their businesses and companies.
After checking in to receive their nametags and to drop off their business cards for the raffles, networkers made their way into the mysterious setting that is known as Tantra. With fresh cut grass as floors, the staccato of a water wall, and the sounds of tantalizing music filling the space, Tantra was definitely a new experience for many networkers who had never been to the exotic restaurant before.
One free drink was provided for each guest and drink specials were available all night long—a special treat for our VIP group. Veronica Hurtado, Owner and Baker of Sweet & Tipsy cupcakes and one of the sponsors of the event, offered several flavors of her delicious cupcakes for guests to sample. What’s different that makes Sweet & Tipsy cupcakes stand out from all of the other cupcake joints these days? These cupcakes are spiked! So naturally, everyone was enjoying them all night long!
Business cards were exchanged, contacts were made, and business strategies were communicated. And about an hour into the event, we started playing our famous Business Card Bingo—a game that acts as an ice-breaker to help guests to start networking with everyone in the room. The first two people to collect business cards for other networkers representing the industries running either diagonal, across, or down would shout “BINGO!” and win a prize. Shortly after Bingo, we also had 3 prizes to raffle off from our sponsors, The Standard Spa Miami Beach and The Epicure Florist. Two gift sets were raffled off from the Standard Spa, which included day passes to use their extravagant spa facilities and attend classes. And one centerpiece to be custom built by the professionals at The Epicure Florist on Miami Beach was raffled off to one lucky guest to put on her desk and be the envy of her coworkers.
As the night wound down, networkers began wrapping up their conversations and saying goodnight. The night ended in true InSense Miami style, with everyone walking away with new contacts, connections, and potential opportunities for their business and themselves.
